The rear arm feature was put together using styrene, mdf, kemi wood and filler.
The hydraulic detail needed to work in order to display the feature.
This detail was put together using the correct diameter plastic pipe and metal rod along with wooden detail.
Sculpted details were put together using filler and kemi wood.
JCB HMEE 1:5 scale Vehicle
In 2005 this scale model was built for JCB to aid marketing and sales around the world. Built for JCB in the UK this vehicle was put together with a group at Dorans Prop makers in Ashbourne, UK. A team of 3 to 4 model makers worked together over a couple of months to bring this scale vehicle to life. I was put in charge of moving elements such as the arm/bucket features at both ends and the cabin interior.
